2010 Edmund S.Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program

On October 19, 2009, the Yerevan American Corner hosted a public lecture entitled "2010 Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program." The guest speaker was International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) representative Lilit Voskanyan.
Ms. Voskanyan presented an informative lecture about the Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship program, which is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State, and is administered by IREX. This program provides opportunities for Master’s level study in the United States. In addition to course work, fellows perform community service projects and conduct internships. The competition is open to citizens of many former Soviet countries, including Armenia.
Participants expressed an active interest in studying in the United States and asked questions about the application process, student visas, financial support, and if they can choose their own host institution. The American Corner organized the meeting in cooperation with IREX to promote academic opportunities in the United States.
