1,000th Book Record for the Yerevan American Corner Electronic Catalog

1:00pm 27.03.2010

On April 12, 2010, Yerevan American Corner registered its 1,000th book in the electronic catalog. The ”lucky” book is "Washington, DC" by Elina Furman, which is one of the books included in the book series “From Sea to Shining Sea,” each representing a state in the USA plus, of course, the District of Columbia. This book describes the geography, history, government, people, and places of Washington, D.C. The 1000th book, together with many others, will be displayed to the visitors of the corner which is marking its fifth anniversary. Don’t miss the chance to register for the books and to be one of the first to borrow it.

The American Corner's bilingual English-Armenian webpage http://yerevan.americancorners.am provides information about the Corner's mission, services, events and activities. It also includes an electronic database of the resources available at the American Corner, allowing patrons to search for materials on the web. Patrons can find descriptions of not only books, but also U.S. journals, VHS videos and DVD's.
